1. Eligibility

Submission categories: Films can be submitted in the following categories: feature film, Short Film, documentary, animated and international film.

Production date: the film must be completed after January 1,2020.

Language: non-english movies must have English subtitles.

Length:

Film: more than 60 minutes.

Short Film: Up to 40 minutes.

Documentary: any length.

Animation: any length.

2.Procedures for the submission of documents

Platform: Films must be submitted through the official film festival submission platform.

Format: the movie must be submitted in digital format (MP4 or MOV) .

Fees: entry fees are non-refundable and may vary by category. Early entry is a discount.

Deadline: all entries must be received before the 2024.

3. Selection process

Pre-selection: The pre-selection Committee will review all submitted films and select films for the competition.

Notice: filmmakers whose works are selected will be notified by email before 31 November of the 2024.

Final choice: the final choice will be made by the festival jury, whose decision is final.

4. Screening

Format: Selected Films must be provided with a high quality digital copy of the show.

Screening Rights: by submission, the film producer grants the festival the right to screen the film during the festival.

Premieres status: the festival may give priority to films with world or international premieres.

5. Awards

Categories: Awards categories are as follows: Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Animation, Best International Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, National Board of Review Award for Best Actor, Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, Best Editing, Best Audience Selection and best latest film producer.

Jury: the jury of the festival will decide the winner. Their decision is final and binding.

Prizes: winners will receive trophies and certificates. Other prizes include cash prizes and sponsorship.

6. General Rules

Originality: all films must be the original work of the film-maker and must not infringe on the rights of any third party.

Promotion: this section reserves the right to use the clips, trailers and stills submitted for promotional purposes.

Liability: the festival is not liable for any loss or damage to the submitted film.

Withdrawal: a film can not withdraw from a film festival after it has been selected.

By submitting films to the Slate International Film Festival, producers acknowledge and agree to these rules and guidelines.
